Had it when we were in Austin. Julia Cox Cable Can Suck
Double entendre? (Spelled it right the first time!) I know they are finally changing the name of the First Union Center in Philly. It's so easy to say FU center, especially after paying for parking and tickets.
The last time I saw M2 it was totally hip hop, just like Mtv in the rare times they show videos. Back in the early nineties there was a station call The Box which was a pay per view video, as in someone else paid and the whole country watched it. There could be some skewing but it was obvious more people wanted to watch rock videos. From three eastern to about eight the videos went over to teeny bopper, but if you were watching at almost any other time it was rock. I think a station could make money showing old videos, especially if they made it blocks. The same time each day they showed a specific type, even better they had a web site that laid out the videos coming up for the next week. Van Halen's "When It's Love" at 4:12 PM est friday, Duran Duran "Hungry like a Wolf" at 4:16 and so on.
I am fascinated and appalled by TV, both national networks and local. For example QVC type network. Can you imagine any situation where a local cable carrier would have to pay them to show QVC? I'd bet that QVC pays to be shown. and that's the problem, they are being shown on my basic package, while PNC, which is PA news and shows is way up at 74, I can't get it on my basic package.
