I think it's a good idea, but if Glory Season is chosen, I'll have to talk to JDG first since I don't want to step on his toes. He started the work on that book and may very well want to finish it himself.

It's already been a few *years* since the latest post in the _Glory Season_ review (sorry, I mean the in-depth analysis <GRIN> ), and I have reminded him of this unfinished business two or three times since then. He never showed any initiative to pick up where he left, so I don't think he'll mind if you finish the job. Actually, I don't think he should even *complain* if someone would want to finish what he started.

Years? Really? Didn't realize that. If it's chosen, I'll ask anyway to be polite. :)

Also, I'll add your vote to the tally, but if Glory Season is the book that's chosen, I'm not sure I'll do it.

Then why tally votes, if your decision on whether to review a specific book will be based on whether you *like* the book, rather than on the outcome of the vote?

I said in my first post on the subject that it was really the only book I didn't want to consider.... :) I haven't ruled it out, I just would have to think about it. Despite my joke, I'd even review Feersum Enjinn if it were chosen. :) Just want to do something more on-topic, you know?

*Grin* Anyway, I'm volunteering. It would really be my prerogative. :)

Perhaps adopting a personal policy of gedogen might be in order?

For the rest of the list, that's a mostly untranslateable Dutch term for 'tolerance of minor offenses'. A true Dutch stereotype is that they find antiauthority resistance somewhat romantic... gedogen reflects this.
