Oh, my. :)

If you ever come over to visit, remind me of this, lest I subject you to one
of the CDs of bagpipe music. (One of those is a favorite of one of our
dogs. I'm not kidding.)
There is nothing quite so stirring or that can get my blood pumping quite like a good pipe-and-drum band with those high, crisp Scottish snare drums.

Julia (and anybody else), what's your favorite bagpipe recording? Do you mostly listen to the traditional stuff, or do you listen to any pipers in more contemporary settings? There's a great compilation CD called _Folk 'N' Hell: Fiery New Music from Scotland_ that has a variety of Scottish artists who use various combinations of traditional, rock, pop, electronica, and jazz. A couple of tunes include pipers, IIRC. (I'm going to have to dig that CD out when I get home from work tonight; I haven't listened to it in a while.)
