I think their earlier stuff is really interesting, but
Geddy Lee's earlier *voice* is just more than I can
stand for 3 minutes! :P  The lyrics and concepts are
well-done, but I don't deal well with screeching... :)

The allusions to mythology, science and legend - as
well as clever word-play - are myriad.  Frex, how many
people know that in medical terms, a syrinx is
essentially a fluid-filled cavity where one does not
belong, as in syringomyelia or syringobulbia? Ref: the
priests of Syrinx (although maybe Peart was really
referring to the Greek root word meaning pipe or
tube?).  Adds quite an undertone if my interpretation
is correct - the priests of (harmful) cavitation...
