I saw a TV program about ADD/ADHD. The schoolkids [from a school
in Colorado, IIRC] were diagnosed with ADD after they failed to
concentrate on a reading of The Great Gatsby, but this was easily cured
when all kids took Ritalin.

A very simplistic diagnosis, if I may add.

If the *only* criteria used to diagnose a classroom full of kids was failure to concentrate on a book, then whoever diagnosed this should be tarred, feathered and branded. ;-)

Appalling. They give them a pill, everybody's happy, "the end". And then people complain that ADD has a bad reputation.
