My brother is back in an undisclosed Air Force location (if it is Korea in winter his care package will look like that MASH episode where they get summer underwear in the bitter cold). Talking with soldiers who have been to the desert and those around Ft Bragg, here is the list of things soldiers missed last time things were tense in the desert.
chapstick sunblock baby wipes razors powdered drinks hot sauce/ things that make food taste better ketchup, mustard, mayo, soy sauce packets plastic bags (sand gets into everything) couch/camping pillows foot powder bathroom/grooming things (usually the stores run out) shower shoes
Anyone have any other thoughts based on desert/conflict/war situations on what should go into care packages?? Dee
Mirrors. At least that was an item people wanted in Afghanistan. All those used compacts w/mirrors would be greatly welcomed.
