Ah.  So it would be known if anyone had neglected the proper undergarments
that day.

The place with the dress code I described wouldn't have had anyone be phased
if they'd been caught without underwear in a similar situation.  Of course,
a rule about wearing underwear might have been added later, as someone
*else* might have gotten a little bent out of shape over it.  (One co-worker
in particular I don't want to think of in that situation, but the rest of
them, it wouldn't bother me *that* much.)
