According to http://hivinsite.ucsf.edu/, last year an estimate 2.4 million people in Africa died of HIV/AIDS. To answer your question, that's roughly 6,575 people each day -- or 4.6 people every minute... :-(


In other words, in the time it took me to write this message and did some research, some 100 people in Africa died of HIV/AIDS... :-(
