On Saturday night, I say an interview with some US official.
He was questioned about Turkey inserting troops into Iraq,
and expressed some annoyance at the potential complications
that may cause. But when the interviewer tried to prompt him
to further bash Turkey, he started to defend their troop actions.

He basically stated that in GW1, Turkey was economically
hammered by incoming Iraqi refugees, and that when they are
stopped right at the border, refugee camps tend to form there,
which become a magnet for all sorts of problems. So the
solution is to "expand their border" a bit. He seemed to think
this was a reasonable thing and not a major issue.
