I was asking Jeroen, actually; if it's a much lesser punishment than it
would be, say, in the US (execution!) then I could see how he would argue
the human rights angle as fiercely as he is, because that solitary
confinement might be worse than *anything* his country would do, whereas
in the US, frex, it's done for good reasons in non-political cases and in
the case of treason, you might be *lucky* to just be in solitary for a few
years.

I imagine that Israel doesn't put up with a lot of crap, relatively
speaking.
