I wrote Check you resources. It was proven to be mass hysteria. Jeroen asked <<Can you provide a link to that proof?>> Sorry, I am not good at searching Internet. But I remember one of non-Israeli news channels saying it also, so it *is* somewhere. Jeroen <<Personally, I have a hard time interpreting the sight of people shaking all over in a hospital bed as "mass hysteria". I also have difficulty believing it *was* mass hysteria, given the BBC's excellent reputation wrt journalism.>> Ilana Long, long ago I went with my mom to visit my cousin in hospital - all of her pioneer group (pioneer - like Soviet Youth organization?) was hospitalized. - about 40 or 50 girls and boys. There was a suspicion of food poisoning. Only there was no food poisoning, there were two girls with flu (sp). Others became ill, because they *thought* that they ate poison. Jeroen <<If it was later proven to be mass hysteria, I'm sure it would have been mentioned in the documentary.>> It should have been. If the documentary was trying to be objective, that is. I wrote <<I, probably, should say something about the way *your* country is treating Israeli illegals. You are invited to visit *them* in *your* jail. The problem is, that while I think that they *do* suffer, I see no reason why they should not be punished for knowingly breaking the law.>> Jeroen wrote <<Can you provide a link to an article that shows that The Netherlands is keeping Israeli illegals imprisoned and that shows how we treat them? That would be rather strange, given that we usually don't put illegals in prison, but either make them legal residents or put them on a plane back to their country of origin.>> Sorry, again no link. I can testify only to what *I* saw. No solitary confinement, small window exists, but the room is too small for so many people, there not enough beds for everybody and toilet is open. I also have to say that it was temporary, at least for the guy we came to collect - he was there only two days and, as I wrote previously, I don't think that those conditions are any business of mine, because he *was* breaking the law - working at selling things on the streets. Jeroen <<But even if there are Israeli illegals in a Dutch prison, they'll be treated far better than Vanunu. You are invited to come over here to visit them in prison and see for yourself how we treat our prisoners.>> Ilana AFAIK their crime is lesser.
