On a side note I absolutely agreed with his assessment of the Stryker. Going with a primarily light but air-transportable force is a recipe for disaster. Better (like he said) to form a few brigades or a division equipped with these things. And while we're at it re-launch the M8 AGS, something the 82nd desperately needs since its Sheridens are now saucepans and razorblades. The fact that the Stryker ONLY has a .50 machine gun I think makes it a liability in combat where it can ONLY rely on airpower to kill tanks. Mix in some M8s and you have a viable rapid deployment force. As it stands now I have serious and grave reservations about this system. And the desires to go to a light heavy Army.

Damon.
