Yeah, but has ACTUAL safety increased? In many cases, it has not.
Some of the regulations passed in many countries in the last decade 
over "safety" have been downright DETRIMENTAL to worker safety, 
actually...

Shrug - a LOT of cancer could be prevented by lifestyle changes, yes, 
and that I'd say (the lifestyle people lead) is why many 1st world 
countries have a cancer problem to the extent they do.
