Well, actually, caloric deficit can be created by
reducing calorie intake, OR significantly increasing
caloric burn i.e. exercise, OR a combination of both. 
That is why those in massive caloric burn states, frex
climbing in the Himalayas, can consume many thousands
of calories per day yet maintain or even lose weight.

Exercise has so many health benefits, mental as well
as physical, that it should be incorporated into
everyone's lifestyle.*
