I'm one of the people who hasn't gotten any listmail since the missive
sent by Dr. Brin.

I'm also an admin who was trying to stay on top of things on Saturday.

By sometime around the time Dr. Brin's missive went out, there had been
52 messages sent to the list requiring moderator attention. Most had
something to do with the @#$% worm; maybe 3 were Nigerian-spam-type
messages. I dealt with them all.

Nothing came to me from mccmedia.com after that.

A little before dinner, I figured I'd just try reloading the page for
moderator requests, and there were a LOT. I dealt with 18 of them, and
then dinner was announced. (Bringing the total dealt with up to 70.)
After dinner, I went back to try to clear out the backlog, and before I
cleared it down to "no moderator requests" I'd dealt with another 55,
bringing the total to 125. I checked back before bed, another 9 were
handled. Probably out of the 134 I handled all day, most had sent out a
copy of the attached virus to me, some were notification that the
mailing list had sent the virus (this is, to me, one of the most
annoying features of this sort of attacking program), and less than 10
were Nigerian-spam-type messages. 134 messages. On a normal day, there
are fewer than 20.

And I haven't had a blessed thing out of mccmedia.com's mailserver
since. (But I have dealt with more moderator requests; the number was
under 50 on Sunday, and less than 20 so far today.)

I just downloaded 347 messages in the last hour. All but 3 were either
worm-related or spam. Over 320 had sobig.f attached. So my incoming
mail server is being hit now, and I don't know if that'll affect my
ability to receive listmail. Two offlist messages sent by listmembers
since I left a little after 11AM Central time *have* gotten through, and
one from my husband about the bag of books sitting next to my desk.
