I saw more zebras than the usual 4 today. They were about 3 fields back
from the road, but they were all striped, and there were more than 4.
The baby is still there, and at least one of the ones closer to the road
was male. I couldn't quite count, though, as I was a passenger in the
front seat, the field was on the driver's side of the car, and we were
going at least the 45-mph speed limit right then. (And most of them
were a bit far off for sexing, even given how a zebra is hung.)
Maybe I'll get a better count some other day. (Not likely to go that
way again anytime soon, though -- they're not on the road we take all
the time, they're on the road we use for the "back way" to Pflugerville,
and the next few trips I take will be to Round Rock. However many
doctor appointments, and then the trip to the hospital.)
Closer to home, though, there's a mare that gave birth a couple of
months ago, and it's nice to see *that* baby growing. He's a bit bigger
each week. I like seeing him.
And then there are all the cows I see on a regular basis, way too many
to get attached to any one in particular. The field where the donkey
lives with the cows had a bull in it a couple of weeks ago, though.
