Well it was just one of those days I really should have stayed in bed, but found out too late to legally return to it and pretend nothing happened. Tom deposited a load of sand in the living room after I spent half the day cleaning it thouroughly. The vacuum cleaner refused to work so I had to get it out by hand and use the mini vac. Took me ages. During the cleaning earlier that day I broke the livingroom table. The glass plate of it crashed to the floor in thousand pieces ruining app. 5 planks of my laminated flooring. Lucky for me Tom wasn't anywhere around so we managed to safely remove the glass. Actually it was lucky the glass broke when it did. It apperantly needed little to go, so I suspect it was already weak/under tension. Tom alway rests his body on the table top .... <shudders at what could have happened if.. >. Well the table was old and it turned out that it wasn't safety glass. At least we'd now get the chance to replace it with something safer. But that is more difficult then we thought. I couldn't find a glass plate or a table to replace the ruined one (I still haven't). I'd like a glass one, but that proves to be difficult.
When I then went on to attempt a repair of the damaged laminated floorboards I first couldn't find the key to my DIY cabinet and when I finally found it, got out my kit and got started, I tipped over the degreasing agent you have to apply before repairing. To top it all I then went on to smash my favourite bowl. After all that, I decided to just sit down and watch telly, since that got me the least chance of breaking something else. <sigh>

GCU: Well I can still laugh.
