I've heard that about your first three years at a new gradeschool or daycare center, you catch just about *everything,* and that's true of your first three or four schools. My wife worked at a daycare (actually a "child and family development center" with lots of teaching going on) during college for about three years, then got her teaching degree and taught at one elementary school for three years, and is now at her second year at another elementary school. I think she has used all of her available sick time every year and is definitely looking forward to the "immune system of steel" phase :-)
