Well after a very long wait finally one of our commercial channels threw us a bone and deigned to program the first season of Enterprise. From what I've seen sofar they really shouldn't have bothered. The first season is ok. Can't tell anything about the 2nd. No, I can:
the first episodes are ok too - specially when we can see Jolene
Blalock [sp?] 's naked shadow projected over white cloth.
PS: I saw a long special about Eindhoven in tv.br.Yep. We have a PSV swimming club, a PSV volleyball club, a PSV hockey club, a PSV badminton club.... oh yeah and that bloody annoying football club, a PSV water polo club..... need I go on. We are simply infested by Philips sports clubs. Since Philips has been the single largest job provider for the whole region for the past 100+ years that isn't so surprising after all.
So, PSV stands for Phillips Sport Club?
The br reporter made itAre we talking about the same city? You mean that Dutch city I'm living in, where the former chairman of the board of said PSV currently is under serious criminal investigation for having unprotected paid sex with minor boys in our local drug/prostitution park while fully well knowing he has AIDS?
sound like heaven on Earth: no crime, polite people, no crime,
no homeless people, no crime, people going peacefully to watch
soccer, no crime, nobody finds anyone weird in the streets,
no crime, etc.
Well living where I do and having seen / experienced a couple of other cities / countries / mentalities I have to say the Dutch aren't doing too badly, but there still is plenty room for improvement. Maybe your reporter got overwhelmed by the general feeling of being in the Netherlands. One thing I can say *for* Eindhoven is that it is very provincial and rather small town like, trying very hard to give the impression it is a big vibrant city.
But I still wouldn't recommend having a night on the town after PSV played Ajax, Ado Den Haag, Utrecht or a couple of other clubs whose 'fan's' aren't known for being the most likeable bunch. And leaving your bike out at night without at least three very serious locks securing every part of it to the world is just asking for it to get nicked by your friendly local drug addict. ;o)
Sonja :o) GCU: There's another reputation 'shot' thoroughly to hell
