If there is evidence that a crime was commited, then present it, otherwise
that just sounds like defamitory rumors and wild speculation, and should not
enter rational discussion.

Assuming that the doctors and their equipment are wrong is not a very
reasonable assumtion unless you have reliable information suggesting that
the equipment may be faulty or the doctors are incompitant.  Assuming you
are correct however, a better argument for allowing euthanasia could not
possibly be made.  To painlessly euthanize someone in such a case would
indeed be prefferable to starving them.
