I am making no judgements about no judgements about the validity of views. I believe
that politics is determined by cultural and historical events. Most businsess people
come from the upper class. Those that do not come from the upper class spend their
adult life in a business culture. This is part of the republican base. Other parts
include the fundamentalist religous groups. The democrats have traditionally had labor
and minorities as well as at least part of the educational and professional classes as
their base. My point is that with reference to your funny remark that competance and
whatever the other positive trait you mentioned cut across these classifications and
are therefore independent of party affiliation.
