OK, why does it do that?

There are several possible reasons. I don't know exactly where you are seeing it here since your description was vague. I would guess that it is redirecting you from a non-secure page to a secure-page, but it could also be a login redirect, or maybe re-direct to a partner's site, or....


I clicked a link on Google to this page:
