I had made plans that would help my sanity. The weather has dashed
them.
Normally, we have someone coming in for 8 hours during the day on
weekdays to help me with children and allow me to pop out to run
necessary errands. She left an hour early on Monday to go to a doctor's
appointment, then left more than 4 hours early on Tuesday due to a death
in the family, and she's still out of town. So I've been stuck in the
house with the children since then, except for a brief foray yesterday
evening to pick up dinner. I'd asked someone to come by for awhile
today so's maybe I could get some daytime relief from the three small
children demanding attention all at once (usually, if someone else can
just hold one of the babies, that calms the total situation down
significantly) or maybe even get out for an errand (loading everyone
into the SUV and having the other person help with unloading kids, then
pushing the twin stroller with the babies in the store while Sam rode in
the shopping cart). But the roads are not in great condition right now,
so there goes that....
If the roads were clear, things would be different. :)
