I did everything I could to turn that off. There is an encoding choice but it's for attachments. I knocked the text down to text. Last option that I know of short of switching clients, which I won't do.
Oh Kevin, I really didn't mean for you to start fussing over this. I'm sorry if I got you in a bunch over it. It was just that I was curious about the inner workings of this phenomenon since only a few people seem to generate it Now that Michael has so eloquently explained it my curiosity is satisfied and I can move on. It's no bother at all. Thanks for trying though. :o)
