I don't have to, because it's already been done for me. http://www.danieldrezner.com/archives/000868.html#000868 http://slate.msn.com/id/2090636/ I would ask, Doug, what evidence could possibly convince you that there _isn't_ corruption involved? Is it just an article of faith that Bush (all Republicans?) must be corrupt, and anything that looks that way is proof? I look forward to the day when, say, 20 years down the road, I'm working for the Chris Cox Administration and look in to the list to see you, Tom, and The Fool telling everyone how I'm clearly arranging payoffs to A.T. Kearney for its donations to Cox's political campaigns... One other point. Our appropriately named Fool, with his customary attention to accuracy, has stated that Cheney is currently receiving compensation from Halliburton. As anyone who has followed the story knows, Cheney does hold some Halliburton stock. He has also purchased insurance that guards against changes in its value. So Cheney's payout will be identical to the penny if Halliburton goes into bankruptcy or it becomes the most profitable corporation in the world. One wonders how this could then affect his decisions. ===== Gautam Mukunda [EMAIL PROTECTED] "Freedom is not free" http://www.mukunda.blogspot.com __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
