Let me make a suggestion for those of us on both sides of the aisle. Let us agree that both Democrats and Republicans engage in needless hyperbola in demonizing their opponents. We can all get plenty of data to show that one side or the other does that, but if we agree on what appears to me to be a well verified hypothesis, then we can focus more on the issues. Not as though our example will change the politicians, but I think we could have more fun trying to understand the issues.
