It's like the swear words that people find offensive; the bigger the deal you make of them, the bigger the deal they actually are.
However true that may be Doug, it still does not downplay in the least, the fact that SOME people find swearing offensive. And if SOME people do find swearing offensive (combined with swearing generally being frowned upon on this list) then for someone to swear, and continually I might add, quite simply shows their true colors. Is this not so?
Perhaps you disagree. That's ok. It's your choice. I mean you can't take anything away from The Fool or even Erik for that matter. Sure, you can throw in a few counterpoints to their arguments, but ultimately it's futile because their arguments are in fact solid. That's why I'm simply saying what it is I say. And that is, for people to continually swear with no regard for how other people feel about it, truly gives us a crystal-clear glimpse into their character. I just wanted to point that out. For either people are for the most part ignoring this topic because they do not either care, or they perhaps don't see what I'm saying. OR. OR. Perhaps they just want to avoid all this rather childish infighting, and they already acknowledge the myriad colors of the character rainbow, that have been colorfully shown by some people as of late, and they choose to do nothing. Which is fine. After all, acknowlegement is all I seek.
In any case, I certainly would consider it a black mark on my record, if my character, or to better illustrate my point, (lack of) character was exposed for all to see. But I have not crossed that line. All I am guilty of (for I, unlike some people recognize the "guidelines" here) is having confidence in myself, and thus being forceful in presenting my arguments. But I think that those of you who have taken a little time to get to know me (at least as much as you can get to know me through my short tenure here in words), know that I'm not a COMPLETE ass, that I do mean well, and that I'm not out to hurt anyone. But it's still a fine line between very different, yet very similar stances huh?
