I posted examples of this recently in response to a message from Dr. Brin.
Perhaps the most salient example was that 2003 is called by Saudi citizens
"The Year of the Petition," due to the novelty of that democratic element
being introduced.

By any other reasonable administration, I presume you mean a Clinton III,
er.... Gore Administration. :-)

I am curious as to what you mean by "plac[ing] the blame" on Saudi Arabia.
You have previously argued that 9/11 created an open-and-shut case for
the United States to attack those who attacked us. Can I infer from the
above then that you believe that a Gore Administration would have attacked
Saudi Arabia either before or after Taliban-occupied Afghanistan? If
not, can I at least infer that your policy recommendation would be/would
have been to attack Saudi Arabia following Saudi non-cooperation with our
terror investigatiosn, non-crackdown on Wahabbi madrassas, and non-reform
to a freely elected democracy?

Thanks for clearing that up.
