Deep in it actually!<G>
But I think that if one says "Christians" one is speaking most
generally, unless one uses modifiers to specify a certain group of
christians.
Southern Baptists and their beliefs do not on the whole typify
Christianity.

When one speaks generally of Christianity, one must lend consideration
to what I will describe as "mild" Christians, who do not spend
significant time involved in religious pursuits.
Contrary to popular beliefs (and opinion polls), most "Christians" are
quite moderate to mild as opposed to the fire breathing, bible
thumping stereotypes.
I don't think that most Christians give much thought to the chances of
others winning a one way trip to the fiery deeps because for one
thing, it is decidedly unchristian to do so.

Of course there is a minority who feel a strong affinity for the grand
drama of the Old Testament and who will use any means fair or foul to
save souls ( and in some cases fill coffers) as part and parcel of the
ouvre of radical evangelism.

LOL.....I know where you are coming from.
But I think that sometimes one has to examine the difference between
"strongly held religious beliefs" and actual religious behaviors.

Then too, a lot of people will forgive or even condone behavior done
in the name of religion, that they would never tolerate in any other
area of human endevour.
