You're not religious, I can tell.  : )

Forgive me if I mangle Catholic doctrine, but they do claim
to have a monopoly on "real" communion, don't they?  

That last step may be iffy, but if the holder of a monopoly on
an important item threatens to cut you off, isn't that coercive?
