For me, winning would be 1) Death rates clearly below those under Saddam 2) A government that's as representative as Jordan 3) Security as good as Jordan's. I think that the best we can hope for now, is that Iraq will end up a wash. The downside is tremendous. My fear is that Bush et. al. will remain in denial about this and send good money after bad, so to speak.
