What's the worst thing about it? What OSs does it work under? Is it more
mouse-dependent or can it be mostly or fully driven from the keyboard?
How much would it cost for me to get a properly licensed copy?
Mail.app, the freebie that comes with OSX, is pretty good.
Eudora's a pretty good one too. (Payware.)
Netscape Communicator has a very nice thread manager for discussion groups (!) and integrates more or less seamlessly with Navigator. (Freeware.)
If you really want a keyboard-driven one, you must, absolutely must, look into pine, which is free, the more or less de facto standard for term email clients, and a damned good little email app. I used pine for *years* until Slackware had evolved enough for a decent GUI client, and still think it's very well-written program.
