My wife is being called in to work, she works at a retirement home/alzhiemers unit, and they are bussing all the remaining residents to Cypress Tx. sometime tomorrow afternoon. I am going to have to work at the hospital (I normally take care of the lab in these situations) it looks like, starting sometime Friday. So I won't see my wife til sometime after the storm. But if they call for the mandatory evacuation tomorrow, I may have to take the cats to my moms while she is evacuated to Etoile (my Grandmothers house in east Texas) and stay at Moms house myself if they won't let me back in to my place. I live only a mile or so from my Mom.<G> My only concerns are for my *stuff*. Computers, TVs, DVD players and the like. I am not going to have a very easy time protecting any of it before I get stuck downtown. Of course this is all dependent on the storm actually hitting the Houston area and there is likely only a 19% or less chance of that. This is the downside of being a pre/primary responder to a natural disaster, but somebody has to take care of our elders and keep our hospitals running while events run their course.
