"Aren't as wussy as yours"...! That has to be the understatement of
the year. Down where pretty much anything that moves can kill you,
or at least make you wish you were dead.

I lived in an apartment for several years that had many of these
strange little brown spiders. It was only after a friend
encountered one that I learned they were brown recluses. Not fun.
We ended up staying in that apartment for another couple of years
while fighting a losing battle against the spiders and the apartment
management. I've learned alot about recluses since then and have
learned that they aren't as dangerous as we had feared.

Ha! Ever seen a wound caused by a Brown Recluse?
I have, and they are very nasty.
Don't pay any credence to Snopes if you live in a Brown Recluse area,
they are pretty much full of it on the subject of the Recluse spider.
(And I have argued with them on their mailing list about this) I've
seen Recluse bites that ulcerated a full 2 inches deep, and while that
may only occur in 10% of cases, you don't want to be bitten by
one.........ever.
