Isn't "might makes right" basically the religious position? "I believe in an all-powerful God. That God says these things are good and those are evil, therefore I believe these are good and those are evil." (And if one happens to live in one of those unfortunate societies whose gods rule that human sacrifice or whatever is good and necessary, well that's just too bad for you.) If not, then I fail to see how the religious and atheist positions differ. Or: how does God Himself decide what is good and evil? Isn't He, at least, basically in the same position as us atheists?
