Personally, I am rather tired of blue LEDs used as indicator lights. They're too darned bright. I have put masking tape over some of them (others I have been able to turn the other way) so they aren't so bright.
Though their excess short-wave emission does bring back memories of the 60s when it hits anything with "day-glo" or gitd pigment . . .
