isn't that why it is called sci-fi and not science fiction? at least there are good series like BSG that i can tivo.
i've noticed that a lot of the fantasy novels being published now are aimed at that target sci-fi audience. fortunately there are enough authors like brin to keep me my stack of books to read happily high... like they say in AA, take the best and disregard the rest... Hey, cool name for a horse, especially if you used another language (or two): frex Ea'kona [which I think would actually translate to "that which is- stormwind," but that's not bad either!]. > I didn't want to leave everyone hanging over this > epic movie..... > After retrieving a chunk of "moon meteorite"...the > space agency...determine[d] that the moon > was composed of mainly metal. Seriously, it's dreadfully disappointing to watch badly-acted, poorly-ploted dreck (not that I saw this particular globbet; I don't have cable), so you gotta laugh at it. Over the weekend I was eye-fried by an old Elijah Wood teen-alien-horror flick - _The Faculty_, IIRC (hey, I was drowsing on the couch, so I could be totally wrong). <grin> Debbi who was unable to watch the Buffy DVD she'd checked out from the library b/c it was unreadable, according to her DVD player...quel dommage! :( ____________________________________________________________________________________ Bored stiff?
