I agree partially - it was a bit harsh, but not as much as that.

A corporation has no actions except those of its employees and
contractors on its behalf. If it was just a misguided person,
that is the fault of the corporation for not providing proper
guidance, or maybe we will hear of the correction in future.
I don't see why recruitment consultants in general are singled
out for special abuse. There are some bad ones but some good too.
Was it on-topic here? OK, lots of us use perl for sysadmin tasks
(perl -i.bak -p -e 'script' file is invaluable), but is that even
welcome at Aardman Animations?
In reply to Alex Ross: I think some anti-PHP sentiment is because the
PHP 3/4 switch seemed to cause much more pain than the perl 4/5
switch, then there's been similar pain again with PHP 4/5 - PHP is not
learning from history and dooming PHP programmers to repeat it.
Compare that to
Perl 6 will provide a "Perl 5 compatibility mode"
http://dev.perl.org/perl6/faq.html
which is even a step forwards from the "edit it to /usr/bin/perl4" days.
So, it's much more than simple Editor/OS Wars snobbery, isn't it?
And being welcoming doesn't mean that we have to let off-topic spam
pass without comment. Welcoming != free-for-all.
