Last weekend saw the final Mixed Tour of the year taking place in the 'mighty' Titchfield. As you will all have guessed the weather was fantastic which of course made for a great tournament. This was topped off with a thrilling final. Grazed and Confused took an 8-1 lead, only for Chevron Action Flash to pull it right back to 9-8. Unfortunately Chevron just couldn't quite maintain the momentum and Grazed and Confused ran out 11-9 winners. Chevron did have a small victory with Barry O'Kane scooping the MVP title. Congratulations must also go to Excessbee who were awarded Spirit of the Game, and to Easy Tiger who managed to raise fifty pounds for Sport Relief by charging each team member 20p for every turnover they committed.
I'd like to thank Becky and her extended family (Mum, Dad, Brother and Cousin) for providing the food and in particular the home-made cakes and flapjack. I'd also like to thank Rob Owen, Claerwen, everyone who picked up litter and anyone who helped me out over the course of the weekend. The final standings were as follows: 1. Grazed and Confused (Champions) 2. Chevron Action Flash (Runners Up) 3. Excessbee (Spirit of the Game) 4. Little Sheff 5. Easy Tiger 6. Blue Arse Flies 7. Cyrille 8. Shocker 9.
