Si and all

thankyou for expressing your concerns about Tour 2 and raising the issue of
Tour Minimum Standards.

You may be aware that the writing of and enforsing of Tournament Minimum
Standards was one of my manifesto commitments. The standards have on the
whole been completed. The UKU board is looking at them right now, so we
should be in a position to communicate them to TDs within weeks.

In response to Si's invite for TD's to step forward, the UKU is looking to
be far more supportive of TDs, so if you are interested in running a
tournament of whatever kind please feel free to get in contact with me:

Any chance of publishing on BD the checklist of such items that you almost
certainly must use when running the many tourneys that you do every year? I
have heard that someone is putting together a kind of UKU TOurnament
Standards doc. Is that you? Is it Chris? Have you been asked to
contribute?

All
Can anyone else fill me in on this? Apologies if I should have read this
somewhere else.

Si

Druids didn't have any problems getting hold of beers. So _that_ wasn't a
problem to us.

On a more serious note:
We weren't overly impressed by:
- the initial size of the pitches - way too short and narrow
- the remarked pitches - the new markings being far less obvious than the
originals, and fading in the rain.
- the number of holes in the pitches
- the lack of ICE for injuries
- the lack of "tournament central" with a schedule and pitch map on clear
display
