The London Summer League finished on Wednesday with finals, and the now notorious end-of-league party. If you were there, I hope you're recovering nicely!
League Winners were Up Spirit Winners were Whey Plate winners were Thundering Herd
Once again, London Summer League broke all previous records, with sixteen teams competing and seventy-four games played without a single default! It was also the most competitive league yet, with some very strong and evenly matched teams in the upper division and plenty of sudden death to-the-wire games.
The lower division was equally hard-fought, and saw the league's first bona fide corporate team (as far as I'm aware) win the plate over an experienced Playthings team.
There's a more comprehensive wrap-up summary of summer league on the website at:

Thanks to the 250 or so players that took part this year. It's been awesome. If you're in London and you haven't been playing summer league, you've been missing out. But don't worry, we'll do it all again in 2004. Keep an eye on the website in the new year.
See you soon.
