Sunday 16th November saw the first event of the Scottish Winter League and a gloriously sunny day in Edinburgh (who said an outdoor winter league in Scotland was a bad idea?). Anyway cheers to all the teams who turned up and made it a great day (ignoring the somewhat shakey start). It can only get better from here! Thanks for all the enthusiastic comments. But most importantly thanks to everyone who helped organise the event (and sorry I forgot to mention you at the prize giving). Thanks to Suze from Positive Mojo for being really supportive, answering all my stupid questions and helping to co organise. Thanks to Andrew from Salt n Sauce who turned up at 8am to help set up the pitches and huge apologies it was somewhat of a wasted effort (I hang my head in shame). Also cheers to Tom from Ro Sham Bo for the sandwich idea and general input. And to all the captains and players who have just been great throughout. All I can say is weyhey - Scotland now has a Winter League! So onto the important things the results of the tournament, and also league standings seem as it was the first event, are as follows: 1.
