Wrong. The point is, do you know what is in, for example, a cough mixture you take? Some can contain the kind of drugs that are banned by the wada. It is not about people taking performance enhances, but the trivial drugs that are contained in vitamins and supplements people take all the time without thinking about it. Why should we have to spend our time familiarising ourselves with the list to know what we are taking when we are an amateur sport. That is the question being asked, not about people who cheat to gain an advantage.
Just because we play an amateur sport isn't relevant - all Olympic sports are technically amateur (archery, softball, table tennis etc.) perhaps a better phrase would be "an unrecognised sport"...
I can see that introducing drug testing at the world championships is an obvious step to gain more respect and make ultimate on a par with other sports.
The idea that anyone would want to introduce large scale testing at tour level is obviously absurd (at present). But in the future if a large sponsor was interested and stated it as a prerequisite I can't see how anyone could object.
