You can pick it up at your local post office, or download it at http://www.dh.gov.uk/PolicyAndGuidance/HealthAdviceForTravellers/TreatmentAbroadHealthCareWithInTheEEA/InsideTheEAAArticle/fs/en?CONTENT_ID=4053734&chk=OrP3lf no need to see your GP and it costs nothing. Once you have it you can keep it for subsequent overseas trips within Europe. Its a good idea to get both the E111 and travel insurance, not just either.
