Spectacularly, it's a tie. Option 1: 14 votes. Option 2: 7 votes. Option 3: 14 votes. Option 4: 3 votes.
So I'll cast my deciding vote in favour of 3, the swedish pull rule. Two reasons for this: firstly, that IS my preferred option. Secondly, options 2 & 3 are very similar, specifically in that they allow the pull to be dropped without penalty, and option one does not allow that. In terms of a straight fight between dropping and not dropping the pull, being allowed to drop it wins the voting (in my opinion).
But that doesn't really matter, because as I said my personal preference is towards being able to drop it, and that's sufficient reason for me to go for option 3.
So we'll be using the Swedish pull rules. I'll post a complete, self-consistent, bombproof rule on BD soon.
