Thanks for all the feedback. Fair enough if it was agreed at the captains
meeting to play by the old rules, but I agree with Rich that not knowing the
rules is a pretty poor excuse for not using them. The rules went out on
britdisc a month ago, and all it takes is for people on britdisc to forward
them to the rest of their club and impliment (and possibly explain) them at
their indoor practices. If people can't be bothered to learn the rules, why
are they entering National level competitions? Might be worth putting
something in the tournament invitations, eg 'we will be adopting the new
indoor rules, please familiarise yourself/your club with them in advance.'
Rant over, my opinions etc.

ps I'm not the first to say this and I'm sure I won't be the last. When
replying to britdisc emails can people please not attach the whole
thread/daily digest etc. It just means scrolling through miles of stuff
you've already read to get to the next message, quite irritating!
