Hi Ewen
I'm not organising either of these events, but I do know that the
venue is a university and that they charge less for student events.
I don't think it's very helpful to compare Copa Cabana to tour
events. "The Copa isn't about who wins but more about who has a good
time playing." http://www.flyghtclub.co.uk/copacabana/
Whereas tour events are about providing the best possible facilities
for the highest quality Ultimate in the country. Essentially what you
are paying for is pitch quality. There seem to be very few venues
that have enough pitches to accommodate a tour.
Copa is an excellent Party Tournament and if you haven't been there
you are missing out - however if you think that you could host a tour
there you are living in a dream world.

Sorry to bring this up again but can someone that is running MT1
and Uni outdoor nationals explain why the mixed tour costs £25 per
team more than UON for the same venue?
ps anyone else noticed that Copa is the cheapest event this year
and it's a 3 day tourney?
