The only case that I am aware of in the sport of
ultimate existed at Oberlin College in Ohio, USA as
few years ago. Though I only heard this from the team
captain and haven´t actually checked with the UPA
rules, the official decision of the UPA then was to
accept the sexuality of the player as they decided to
identify themselves. The transexual played a good
year or 2 as I was told! And the captain said that it
wasn´t a problem and was accepted by all. I´m
assuming that it isn´t currently a major issue (i
could be wrong), however, for the future? Will
ultimate players start to demand gender testing as
well? Add this one to the list of controversies
following the doping rules!
