It's a drum I've been banging for a while but whenever I hear talk of
scheduling issues I can't get past extending Nationals to a 3-day event.

Perhaps it'd be more worthwhile for Student Nationals - which, handily, is
already held on a Bank Holiday weekend - where issues such as region
strength and year-to-year fluctuation feature in scheduling issues but I
think the extra time would enable more time between games / another round of
pool play etc. in Open / Mixed / Women's (if necessary).

UPA Nationals - surely the benchmark in National Ultimate tournaments - sees
games held over 4 days [1 <http://club2006.upa.org/schedules/event.php>] and
perhaps this would give UKU Nationals the extra kudos many people seem to
think it needs.

Dean.

Then again; I quite often end up playing the same team twice at
tournaments, I don't think any schedule will ever be perfect. Thanks
to the people that write them, some say the way to gauge success is by
the number of complaints you get.
