Jack/all
I am not sure that I agree with this interpretation of the spirit scores.
Given that we played 5 different teams over the weekend (2 less than we
might have done had circumstances been different) 2 (4) teams were always
going to miss out on our spirit vote given the current regime. This does not
necessarily mean that the games were poorly spirited, merely that 3 of our
other opponents were better spirited. I certainly don't think that it is
the place of *anybody* to suggest that a whole squad should stop playing
ultimate merely based on one set of spirit votes!
I agree that a 'marks out of 10' system might be better, but again you have
the problem of how many games are played by each team against different
opponents. I think that the TD's have enough to do without me suggesting a
single tranferrable vote system of spirit scores, especially as it seems
that not all teams bother handing in spirit scores (possibly deducting from
these teams spirit scores would be a way forward?)
